For #BlackHistoryMonth, we’re thrilled to celebrate company-wide events organized by our Black Caucus ERG around our internal theme, “Black Culture and the Arts”. 🎶🎨 We’ll kick things off with a DJ-led event to dive into music from Black artists throughout the eras, followed by a live panel with members from our Black Caucus ERG where we’ll explore the profound impact of music, dance, and literature on their lives. Hear directly from Lorna Webster, HRBP, about what Black Culture and the Arts mean to her: “𝘉𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘈𝘧𝘳𝘰-𝘊𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘣𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘯 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘴 𝘮𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦, 𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘥, 𝘱𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘴𝘦 𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘣𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘣𝘺 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘢𝘳𝘵. Here’s to a month of reflection, growth, and celebration. 💙
As we head back to work and kick off 2024, virtual collaboration continues to take center stage. Having been a remote-first organization for over 18 years, we’ve uncovered best practices for fostering inclusive virtual meetings. 🤝 From uplifting diverse voices, creating a welcoming environment, encouraging dynamic discussion, and enabling accessibility tools for your virtual meetings, let’s work together to create virtual spaces where everyone feels welcome!
At 1Password, one of our fundamental values is to put people first, and our people are what make 1Password the vibrant organization that we are today. ❤️ Our human-centric approach roots back to all our DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging) programs, as we bring together diverse perspectives across our organization to amplify the voices of underrepresented groups. We are proud to share our DEIB report that showcases some of the ways our people programs and policies are focusing on DEIB. There is much more to do, and we look forward to sharing our progress annually in an updated external report.
As we approach the end of Pride month, we're reflecting. We believe safety and security are human rights for everyone. As we celebrate Pride month, we are reminded of what it stands for: resilience, love, and the ongoing fight for equality for our 2SLGBTQIA+ community. We’re listening to and learning from our 2SLGBTQIA+ colleagues and friends. We’re amplifying their voices and letting them lead the conversations and celebrations. 🏳️🌈 At 1Password, we have a commitment to the community that is year-round. From donations, gender affirmation care coverage, inclusive hiring, to our DEIB programs, we are focused on making an impact. 1Password is made up of real people who care about security – and not just online. By embracing our history, advocating for change, and fostering inclusivity, we can create a world where every 2SLGBTQIA+ person can live authentically and with pride.
Today we introduce 1Password’s new refreshed brand! Founded by four friends in Ontario, 1Password has consistently put customer security and happiness above everything else. And, just as the 1Password product has evolved, so does our brand today. Our team has been diligently crafting a refreshed brand identity – a new logo and typeface, updated color palette, expanded illustration system, and more. You may have noticed that some things have started to look a little different at 1Password and, over the next few weeks, we’ll continue to roll out new elements of our brand across our website, advertising, socials, and more. As thrilled as we are to finally reveal our new brand, we’re also excited that it still represents the same values, goals, and ethos of 1Password as they were years ago. Here at 1Password, we’re building a safer, simpler digital future for everyone – security you can feel good about. 🔐💫
We're shining the spotlight on the people who make 1Password what it is. In our latest blog series, we’re sharing what it’s really like to work at 1Password. To do this, we sat down and talked to team members from across our more than 800-strong organization, including engineering, human resources, and customer support. Learn about the journeys that each person took to get to 1Password, as well as their their current role and day-to-day responsibilities. Here's Mark-Shane Scale, Team Lead for Customer Support at 1Password. Have a glance at his story!
As Pride month comes to a close, we're reflecting on the events we hosted, programs we learned from and stories we've shared internally. Pride is about coming together to honor, celebrate, and support our LGBTQ+ community. We kicked off celebrations with a keynote by Cheddar Gorgeous and over the month our team also learned from speakers and organizations on how to create a welcoming and accessible workplace. Our Pride celebrations are a part of our commitment to focusing on equality and education year round. Our internal DEI&B program – Strong, Unique Voices – aims to amplify the voices of our employees and provide educational resources around key cultural moments throughout the year. As we’ve grown, so has our culture. While we’ve celebrated #PrideMonth, we know there will always be more to do. We’re committed to humanizing cybersecurity, and to do that we need all of the strong, unique voices that make 1Password what it is.
Human-centric security — it’s in our DNA. 💙 A few weeks ago, we announced that we’ve raised a Series C funding round – the largest ever raised by a Canadian company. We’re excited to share how, through our product vision, we’ll make it easy for everyone to navigate the digital world without fear or friction.
