Apprentices are based in Iowa, City Iowa and attend school full time while working with our company. This allows apprentices to earn a salary while school is fully paid for by ALPLA! On 2/5 we had our Heart Healthy lunch and learn sponsored by Piedmont Hospital. We learned about the importance of being healthy and keeping a healthy heart. At ALPLA, we think it is always important to promote health and self-care.
On Wednesday November 20th, we held our annual thanksgiving feast for our employees. We had a large turnout and got to interact with another. We hope everyone has a happy thanksgiving!
On the 11th of November, we celebrated our veterans at each location. We thank not only our employees that are veterans but every veteran that has served for our country. Thank you for your service!
On the 20th of September, ALPLA signed the declaration of the Circular Plastics Alliance (an initiative by the European Commission) in Brussels. The declaration describes the alliance's vision for more recycled plastics in Europe, as well as the alliance's commitments to reach the EU target. Namely, that 10 million tons of recycled plastics find their way into products in the EU by 2025.
