We just wrapped up our sixth annual AVI-SPL Gives Back Month, and it was a blast! Huge thanks to all our awesome trailblazers worldwide who rocked it by volunteering and making a difference in our communities. While community involvement is at the forefront of our company culture, one month a year — in August — we dedicate ourselves to giving back. Throughout August, each global location sets aside its usual work and takes time to perform community service. This service includes everything from packaging meals for food banks to renovating animal shelters to planting trees. When we team up and represent our core values, we leave a lasting impact and truly make magic happen!
Another year, another successful campaign! It’s that time of year again when we come together as an organization to Stuff the Bus. More than just a backpack, Stuff the Bus is a global campaign to provide new school supplies for children living in or near homeless conditions, easing the financial burden on families and giving students a boost of confidence. This year's event ran from July 17 through August 11 with all global location choosing to participate. Whether it was participating in office school supply drive, donating to a local school or organization, or partnering with the Kids in Need Foundation (KINF), there are many ways that we showed your support and gave back to the children in our communities.
We’ve done it again! We proudly secured the 2023 Tech Cares Award from TrustRadius. Earlier this year, we raked in eight additional TrustRadius "Top Rated" awards across various categories, including Managed IT Services, Video Conferencing, UCaaS, and more. Plus, we recently earned the Commercial Integrator 2023 Make a Difference Award for our Gives Back initiatives. This latest TrustRadius accolade speaks volumes about our dedication to community impact. Our volunteering efforts, DEI strategies, workplace culture, and commitment to environmental sustainability paved the way for this recognition. We should all take a moment to feel proud of what we've achieved together. We're grateful to work with an awesome team of difference makers.
We're thrilled to share that we received another outstanding honor – the Commercial Integrator 2023 Make a Difference Award. This yearly recognition is awarded to a firm that has made a substantial difference through its philanthropic efforts. We're proud of the time, energy, and passion our employees pour into supporting the communities where we work and live. It’s making a difference – at a tremendous scale. In 2022 alone, we supported more than 35 charitable organizations worldwide, helping at least 500 families. That’s quite an impact! Together, we can carry this positive energy into our two upcoming community relations events – Stuff the Bus in July and AVI-SPL Gives Back Month in August. These are fantastic opportunities to build connections with each other and the communities we serve. Giving together helps us thrive together.
