Congratulations to Hero Award recipient Latonya Michelle Ipadeola-Edmonds for her heroic efforts. Officer Ipadeola-Edmonds was working at a Harris Teeter store when an armed robbery occurred. The suspects were armed with firearms and threatening to shoot and harm her as well as the Harris Teeter employees. Officer Ipadeola–Edmonds remained calm, laid on the ground. She took mental notes of identifying features of each suspect. During the course of the robbery, two Harris Teeter employees sustained injuries. As soon as the suspects left the building, Officer Ipadeola–Edmonds immediately called 911, reported what happened and requested immediate assistance. She then rendered aid to the injured employees to the best of her ability. Finally, her very detailed incident reports following the events aided the store with the investigation. Because of Officer Ipadeola–Edmonds' heroic actions, she was able to keep a bad situation from escalating. Thank you Officer Ipadeola–Edmonds for your phenomenal work!
