The AmTrust Worker's Compensation claims team, led by Vice President, Workers’ Compensation Claims, Brent Bland, redesigned its new hire training program. The goal was to provide qualified college graduates with a broad knowledge base in Workers' Compensation by facilitating skill-development in the basic areas of Investigation, Claims Writing, Customer Service, Medical Management, Reserving and Negotiation. Teams from HR, Claims, Talent Acquisition, IT, Marketing and Learning & Development rallied together to recruit the new team, and build an interactive environment in the classroom and on Claims Systems. Michelle Lightfoot, Claims Director and Program Sponsor, lead the charge to coordinate and deliver an innovative program that maximizes learning and performance. Earlier this year, the AmTrust Loss Control team participated in a safety awareness event with La Chiquita Tortilla and Brown & Brown Insurance in Atlanta, Georgia. “We’ve been working with La Chiquita Tortilla and AmTrust for several years to help them implement safety techniques that have kept their staff healthy and lower their overall workers’ comp claims,”said Daniel Preston of Brown and Brown.
