The Engage for Good Halo Awards represent the highest honor in corporate social responsibility, and we’re proud to have earned Gold for Best Cause Marketing Initiative for our Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C) campaign, which raised a record‑breaking $5 million in 2025. Since 2016, our partnership with SU2C has driven meaningful impact through integrated inflight, digital, and loyalty efforts—helping raise awareness and critical funding for cancer research, including a recent SU2C‑funded breakthrough in pancreatic cancer using personalized mRNA vaccines—demonstrating the power of AAdvantage® member support. This recognition reflects our purpose of caring for people on life’s journey and shows how partnerships like #SU2C turn generosity into lasting impact. #HaloAwards

On April 2, we kicked off our countdown to the world’s biggest sporting event with an aircraft livery celebration at MIA — the country’s largest gateway to Latin America and the Caribbean. We transformed our Miami hangar into the ultimate football experience with the debut of our FIFA World Cup 26™-themed aircraft livery alongside food and beverages inspired by Miami’s rich culture and appearances by the FIFA World Cup 2026™ Official Mascots. Football icons Thierry Henry and Tim Howard welcomed guests, along with American executives including Chief Commercial Officer Nat Pieper, Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President of Communications Caroline Clayton, and Vice President of Miami Operations Juan Carlos Liscano. The program also featured remarks from FIFA Chief Business and Strategy Officer Amy Hopfinger and Miami‑Dade County leaders Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and Commissioner Danielle Cohen Higgins. The remarks helped set the stage for an immersive evening that brought the spirit of the tournament to life.

As we approach our centennial celebration, we’re taking a moment to reflect on the pivotal milestones that shaped our journey. On April 15, 1926, Robertson Aircraft Corporation operates its first flight carrying mail between Chicago and St. Louis on a De Havilland DH-48. This flight marks the beginning of the first 100 years of what would eventually become American Airlines.
