What can a backpack, new clothes or eyeglasses mean to a student going back to school? For families experiencing hardships, Frisco Family Services (FFS) provides these school essentials to Frisco, TX students at their annual Back2School Fun Fair. Offering a sense of dignity and hope at a fun, engaging event, FFS transforms concern into confidence for families and students. Amica has called FFS a community partner for almost eight years and, this August, more than 50 Amica employees volunteered to help 222 students get in the back to school spirit! Take a look at some photos from the day’s adventures, and learn more about FFS by visiting: http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vMcwZ. #AmicaCommunity
Prior to this year’s Buzzards Bay Swim in Massachusetts, several Amica employees spent their day helping Buzzards Bay Coalition prepare for the swimmers and keep the shores clean around the outer New Bedford Harbor.
At our 2019 Annual Dinner, held last week in Rhode Island, we honored employees commemorating their 25-year anniversary and those who have recently retired. It was a great night for the Amica family to celebrate these accomplishments and create lasting memories. Here are some photos from the event.
Amica Life took part in Bryant University's Corporate Case Challenge program recently. Three hundred students worked on a real-life business problem, and eight teams presented their marketing strategies and tactics to Amica Life representatives. The challenge produced innovative entries, and the top three teams were awarded monetary prizes. We enjoyed partnering with Bryant University on this challenge and working with their leaders of tomorrow!
