This month, Aristocrat’s Leading in the Community circle hosted a group of teachers, instructors and mentors from the Career Technical Academics (CTA) at our Amigo office in Las Vegas. The group met with various departments to discover all of the unique ways a technology company brings great products and solutions to life.
We love celebrating different festivals and cultural traditions from all around the world. Today, in celebration of CNY and 'Year of the Dog', it was bring your dog to work day! There were smiles all around the office!
At Aristocrat, it’s important that we take time out to PLAY and our team in India certainly did just that! Celebrating the Aristolympics at the Thyagraj Stadium. Employees took part in Badminton, Table Tennis, Tug of War and many other sports. Congratulations to Khatarnaak Khiladi who took home the gold!
We’re currently hosting a series of Diversity & Inclusion events around the globe to inform, educate and inspire our employees to get involved in a range of initiatives taking place. Yesterday in Sydney was the perfect day to celebrate, with some members of our wonderful EPIC (Equality, Pride, Inclusion, Courage) leadership circle joining us from the USA.
As part of our Diversity & Inclusion launch week, our Australian Integration Centre hosted a multicultural feast from all around the world, with over 30 countries represented! The canteen area turned into a large banquet hall where everyone could sample some of the traditional food that their colleagues had made or brought along. Thank you to the team for sharing your passion and pride from the many countries around the world that you represent!
Aristocrat are proud to be a part of the ‘Hiring our Heroes’ program, providing transitioning service members with management training and hands-on experience in the civilian workforce. We were excited to sponsor an Aristocrat Veteran Showcase at the Birtcher Manufacturing Facility where 10 fellows were able to learn about Aristocrat through an operations tour, hearing from guest speakers and participation in 15 minute speed interviews for positions across 7 departments.
In honor of MLK Day, we took a moment to commemorate the great Martin Luther King, Jr. as we watched his famed speech, “I Have a Dream.” Kelly Shaw, VP of Oasis Systems was there to offer up a few words of encouragement, and it was an overall great moment of inspiration at our headquarters in Las Vegas. Happy MLK Day, everyone!
We are excited to have been honored with an international accolade for our innovative training services! Our “Being Safe with Coach Jesse” safety training, developed by our Learning Solutions team, won a silver medal in the “Best Advance in Online Coaching Tools” category of the 2017 Brandon Hall Group Excellence in Technology Awards. At the end of last year, a group of our female employees attended the ‘Women in Leadership Summit’ in Sydney. As part of our commitment to pay these types of opportunities forward, they decided to host an interactive panel discussion with the rest of our Sydney team. They shared key insights from the conference and answered questions from the audience from a range of topics such as unconscious bias training, flexibility in the workplace, negotiation skills and empowerment. A big thank you to all the panelists for taking the time to share their insights with us.
