The 2023 Avetta Sydney Summit kicked off yesterday with a welcome from Avetta's Chief Product Officer, Taylor Allis, featuring keynote speaker Gareth Spence, Director of Economics, NAB. Several breakout sessions, including one with keynote speaker Michael Tooma, Partner, Clyde & Co. Tuesday's breakout sessions were: Using Technology & Strategy with Avetta, Avetta One Overview, Integration, Reporting & Analytics, and Workforce Compliance.
#AvettaGives : On Friday, January 27th, I had the privilege to hand over 14 laptops to the teachers of Belaza-Castromayor Community Elementary School, my home school. The teachers were thrilled to receive the Laptops and are very grateful. Back story. During the pandemic, I enrolled my first-grade daughter in the school while we were in the Philippines. They were doing modular learning, and every Friday, the parents would come to school to pick up the self-learning modules. I have witnessed how challenging it is for teachers to provide learning materials when resources are scarce. There were delays in distributing them because there were not enough computers to make their lesson plans. It was heartbreaking seeing both the parents and the teachers frustrated. Then, one day, I reached out to Robbie and asked what they do with the old laptops. I was lucky to be the bearer of these blessings. The teachers were overjoyed! Thank you, Avetta family, for your generosity.

HOLIDAY CELEBRATIONS: In Dallas, Hunter Sprague treated employees to a mini wine tasting, followed by a surprise visit from Santa (Birdo Richards III) facilitating the raffle and exchanging Secret Santa gifts before heading to Yardbird to close the day of celebrations. The Calgary office had an ugly sweater-themed party, put together a donation box for the Calgary Food Bank, played a white elephant game, and chose the team member with the ugliest sweater. The Houston office collected toy donations for Nora's Home, a non-profit offering transplant patients to stay. They enjoyed an authentic Cajun lunch, giveaways, and watched the World Cup. The Orem office celebrated with a holiday lunch, raffle prizes, an ugly sweater contest, and a photo booth. The EMEA team celebrated in style at a Monte Carlo-themed event at Royal Windsor Racecourse with cocktails, dancing, aerial acrobats, dodgems, and had a blast. The team in New Zealand enjoyed the holiday spirit together celebrating with food, drinks, and laughter. The Newcastle team enjoyed the sun, food, drinks, and bowling on the green.
Avetta is named one of the Silicon Slopes Hall of Fame & Awards finalists in the software category. In addition, Chief Product Officer, Taylor Allis, is also recognized as a finalist for CPO of the year.

Avetta recently received the SupplyTech Breakthrough Award for Risk Management Company of the Year! Tech Breakthrough is an independent intelligence organization that evaluates standout technology companies, products, and services in the supply chain technology and logistics fields. All nominations were evaluated and scored by a panel of judges from technical, business, academic, and marketing backgrounds. Judging specifically focuses on innovation, but we were also scored on performance, ease of use, functionality, value, and impact. Avetta was among 1,200 companies from 15 countries to apply for one of the awards categories. The SupplyTech Breakthrough awards are new this year, but Tech Breakthrough facilitates awards programs across several other industries. Other winners of the Tech Breakthrough awards in 2022 and previous years include FedEx, Medtronics, Mercedes-Benz, AT&T Cyber Security, McAfee, Experian and Thomson Reuters.
