As Black History Month comes to a close, we would like to share our gratitude to SOUL and all of our associates who participated in the celebration. Our associates visited museums across our markets that highlighted African Americans in the workforce, SOUL created a flipbook showcasing Black inventors and creators and they partnered with VIDA to create an event honoring Afro-Latino culture. We look forward to more opportunities for meaningful connection and education as we continue to honor the African American community all year round.
We are excited to announce that Bozzuto has been nationally recognized as a Great Place to Work® for the third consecutive year! This incredible achievement reflects our vibrant culture and the dedication of each and every one of our associates. What truly sets us apart is our employees' unwavering dedication to making the world a better place by creating sanctuary for those we serve. Together, we’re united in our purpose to make a meaningful impact and continuously inspired by the work we do.
To recognize National Caregivers Day last week, our employee resource group PACT and Rise by Bozzuto assembled and donated care packages for Meals on Wheels volunteers. We appreciate and thank all caregivers for their service and kindness that truly makes a positive impact on our world.
As we continue to celebrate Black History Month, our employees were encouraged to visit history museums across the country that highlight the achievements of African Americans in the workforce. This thoughtful reflection and observance allowed our associates the opportunity to connect and dive deeper into our country’s important history.
Leading up to the Lunar New Year, our Employment Resource Group, HAAPI (Hapa, Asian American and Pacific Islander), lead several events around the country! This vibrant festival is a time for families to come together, honor traditions and welcome the new year with hope, joy and renewal. We are thankful for HAAPI for creating spaces to celebrate across our markets where our associates were able to connect and learn.
As we wrap up the first week of February, we take time to recognize the achievements, rich culture and history of the Black community. As we celebrate Black History Month with our employee resource group, SOUL, we are excited to engage in programming that highlights this year’s theme, “African Americans and Labor.” We are grateful for the contributions of those who have been at the forefront of innovation. Check back throughout the month as we continue to share stories, events, and highlights in celebration. Happy Black History Month!
