This weekend, more than 40 Builders Mutual employees, their friends and family members participated in the Habitat for Humanity Women Build. Builders Mutual supports Habitat as part of our giveBACK program.
Builders Mutual would like to congratulate Dave Stormont of Storm Coast Homes in Kitty Hawk, NC for being named the Distinguished Builder Member of the Year during the 2015 NCHBA STARS Awards. Stormont is a member of the BMIC Board of Directors and the Outer Banks Home Builders Association. He was nominated for outstanding leadership, service and dedication to the home builders association federation and the construction industry.
Congratulations to Tab Premium Built Homes from New Bern, NC on receiving the inaugural Builders Mutual Safety Program of the Year award during the NCHBA STARS Awards. Tab Premium Built Homes exemplifies a company committed to the safety of their employees and customers. They have a comprehensive written safety program in place, hold weekly safety meetings with all staff and periodically hold jobsite meetings with subcontractors. They enforce proper PPE daily and display caution signage extensively throughout their jobsites. Congratulations again and thank you for your commitment to Safety!
This past weekend in Raleigh, NC, nearly 130 Builders Mutual employees, their families and furry friends participated in the 2015 American Heart Association’s (AHA) Triangle Heart Walk as part of our give BACK program. The Heart Walk is the AHA's premiere event for raising funds to save lives from the No. 1 and No. 5 killers in the US - heart disease and stroke. Builders Mutual and our employees raised more than $23,300 for the AHA.

Builders Mutual employees and their families participated in the Cary-Apex-Morrisville (CAM) Relay for Life, May 16-17. BMIC made a corporate donation of $20,000 to the American Cancer Society as part of our give BACK campaign, while employees raised an additional $7,300. Our total 2015 donation to the ACS was $27,300!
