Lamont Gilbert represented CSAA Insurance Group at the 100 Black Men of the Bay Area's 29th Annual Scholarship Benefit and Awards Gala in San Francisco. He shared the following comments: "I’m thinking about these lyrics, 'I wish it could be Christmas all year long,' because of the caring spirit and actions - personally and professionally - that are so prevalent in just about everyone, everywhere around the holidays. I imagine each of us this way always, and love working for a company that values, embraces, and shows up every day in these ways. I will practice being a spark igniting change aligned with these thoughts, and will seek ways to collaborate with you doing the same."
Our employees connect with each other and community by volunteering. Recently over 100 Mt. Laurel, NJ employees took the time to make personalized holiday cards for Retired Veterans who reside at the Vineland Veterans Memorial Home. “Everybody had their own way of saying ‘Thank you for your service, we’re thinking about you.’ We made about 200 cards. It was an awesome event that I was proud to be a part of.” Terry Maimone, Operations Analyst.

A number of our Glendale, Arizona, employees recently accepted the Inclusive Workplace Award by the Arizona Diversity Leadership Alliance. But it was employee Candice Chavez who stole the show with this superb rendition of the "The Star-Spangled Banner." We are so proud of the talent and diversity of thought our employees bring every day to CSAA Insurance Group.
The local Diversity Leadership Alliance in Arizona awarded CSAA Insurance Group with the “Inclusive Workplace” award for large companies. Shout-out to the spectacular Diversity and Inclusion Glendale team for representing us at the award ceremony!
We call ourselves, “A community that works” for a reason. When employee Linda Simmons made a quilt for her uncle, a Vietnam Veteran, her Pastor asked if she could make 75 more quilts - one for every Veteran in her congregation by November 5th. Through our Volunteer program, Linda enlisted the help of employees to form her own sewing army. Working 7 days a week on the project, often ‘til the early hours of the morning, Linda and the team were able to finish all of them. She will be delivering them this Sunday to the veterans. http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQuY0
Veterans Gratitude Week brought the opportunity for employees across the country to thank military and veterans for their service. Employees put appreciation into action by packing hundreds of care kits for veterans in California and Colorado, by marching in the Las Vegas and Oklahoma City’s Veteran’s Day parade, by hosting breakfast for vets in Oklahoma City, and by learning techniques to support vets with PTSD. Please thank the service members and veterans in your life and put the word out: here at CSAA Insurance Group we are always looking for more veterans to join forces with us.
When Brandon Olivas, isn’t recruiting for CSAA Insurance Group or drilling with the Air Force Reserves, he is spending time with his family. "As a Reservist, I appreciate the support CSAA Insurance Group provides for our service members. In addition to great benefits, the two weeks of Military Paid Leave means I can fulfill my Reserve duties while keeping vacation time to spend with my kids and family. That's important to me." Thank you for your service, Brandon!
In preparation for the big night, a costumed cadre of spooks and ghouls rocked out to Thriller at our Walnut Creek office this morning (see if you can spot our Chief Marketing Officer Debora Tomlin amongst the mob). How did you and your co-workers get in the Halloween mood today? http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQuAI
