More than 1 in 6 working Americans assist in the care of family or a friend – and the bulk of them are women. Working daughters often suffer work-related difficulties and switch to less demanding jobs, take time off, or quit work altogether. At Seniorlink, we understand better than most companies the toll that caregiving can take on a person. That's why we take pride in not just supporting the caregivers enrolled in our programs, but also the caregivers in our organization. And we're excited to announce that we've been named one of this year's Best Places to Work for Working Daughters, according to Working Daughter, a community for women balancing eldercare and career. To all of you out there who are balancing career and care for a family member or friend – we see you and we're here to support you.

“The mission at Seniorlink & Caregiver Homes – you can’t beat it,” says Jordan Lyons, an RN Care Manager in Indiana. “In school, they preach all the time about preventive medicine, but it gets the least resources and attention. Here, I see it in action all the time.” As a care manager, Lyons coaches family caregivers and makes home visits. He loves the relationships he builds with families and his team, as well as the schedule flexibility that allows him time with family. And yet, when COVID hit, he felt guilty seeing the struggles of care staff in hospitals. He left Seniorlink & Caregiver Homes to deliver hands-on care at a local hospital. After six weeks, he knew he wanted his old job back. Family caregivers needed support too. And hospital work was the opposite of everything he had at Seniorlink & Caregiver Homes. “My work here is so different compared to any other nursing job – the connections we build, the flexibility. And there is more opportunity for growth here. I appreciate the mentoring from my supervisor Ronda"
