Challenges on Transitioning to Civilian Life- Advice from Veterans The transition from the familiar structure of military life to the unfamiliar—and often uncertain—civilian life, poses one of the most intimidating challenges for military members as they conclude their service careers. In an effort to gain valuable insights into the experiences of veterans transitioning, Chenega MIOS conducted interviews with four respected veteran employees: Bobby Holland, Joshua Watts, Travis Marschner, and William Benning. Each participant shared their unique perspectives on challenges during this pivotal phase and offered advice on overcoming these obstacles. Throughout these interviews, many of our vets shared similar issues, where one of the most common challenges was preparing for civilian life. https://careers.chenegamios.com/veterans

Feed a Veteran 5k November 2023 USASOA continually strategizes to remain relevant to the changing needs of our veteran community at large. Thousands of veterans who once swore to defend this nation with their lives, now live on the very streets of that same wealthy nation. While accomplishments have been and continue to be made by federal and state agencies and other nonprofit organizations, it takes a multifaceted approach combining both awareness and properly funded preventive programs to effectively respond to the challenges and issues facing veteran homelessness. MIOS Talent Acquisition Team donated to USAOA for the Feed a Veteran 5k at Old Hickory. The team donated $400 and Chenega MIOS matched. Chenega MIOS was able to provide 24 hot lunches and 5 winter survival kits for homeless vets.

Chenega Earns a place in the Top 10 of 2024 Military Friendly Employer and Military Friendly Spouse Employer Designations! Institutions earning the Military Friendly ® Employer designation were evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey. Over twelve hundred companies participated in the 2024 Military Friendly ® survey.
