Dr. Shamsuddin Khwaja, medical director of cardiothoracic surgery, performed the first scheduled cardiac surgery in one of Clovis Community’s new Cardiac operating rooms in March. Now, critical cardiac surgeries can be performed across our health system, at Community Regional, Clovis Community and Fresno Heart. “It’s a wonderful opportunity for all of us and I’m very grateful for all of the staff that worked tirelessly over the last two years to make this dream come true for our patients,” said Dr. Khwaja, explaining the significance of this milestone in Community’s history. “I know [our patients] may not realize what goes on behind the scenes, but I’m confident they will be the ones to benefit the most.” Are you ready to join one of our amazing cardiac teams?
