Connection Celebrates the Season of Giving
On October 3rd an oil pipeline leaked 127,000 gallons of crude oil into the Pacific ocean. Huntington Beach resident, Rich Emil, Connection VP of Managed Services, took action and began assisting with local clean up efforts. Eager to help his community, even if that meant walking the beaches alone picking up clumps of oil. Oil spills like this are harmful to the environment and increasingly common. Protecting marine life, the beauty of our coastlines, and the health of the many people and animals who call our beaches home will require volunteers to step up and donate their time to clean up efforts. A small group of Southern-California based Connection Employees joined Rich on December 12th to do this necessary work, helping to reverse the damage caused by the oil spill. They picked up bits of micro-plastics and oil deposits in a Coastal Clean Up sponsored by Orange County Coastkeeper .
