Our CEO, Frank Vella joined NBC10 Boston's Kwani A. Lunis earlier this week to discuss why the holidays are so important to small businesses. Here's what he had to say: "Most people don't know this, but a retail-focused small business does 75% of its revenue in the last three months of the year. [That's why] it's so important to support small businesses during [the holiday season]. This is when they make their living." We understand how critical this time of year is for our SMB customers - that's why we work hard to deliver the marketing tools they need to end the year on a high note. #OneCTCT #SmallBusinessMarketing
We pumpkin-spiced things up these past few weeks at our Fall Fest celebrations! đ đ We took over our office parking lots in Waltham, MA, Gainesville, FL, and Loveland, CO, and treated our taste buds to food truck delights, sipped on some brews and vino to keep the fun flowing, and threw a cornhole showdown! đ˝đ
We had an absolute blast at our all-time favorite event of the year: InnoJam! Think of it as Constant Contact's extra fun version of a Hackathon. We had more than 100 employees from all over the world formed 42 fantastic teams. They stepped away from their usual work for a week and put their heads together to work on their ideas for our product and internal processes. Then they pitched their ideas to our judges and the company in an ultimate shadow for some sweet cash prizes across our four categories. This yearâs theme was In the Blink of an AI, and the teams wowed everyone with their outside-of-the-box ideas. The company voted to pick our four lucky winners, and a panel of judges picked our runners up. The weeklong event culminated in a showcase, where the winning teams presented their ideas to the leadership team and the company. Some of our favorite product features come out of our annual InnoJam, which weâve hosted for 13 years now. Last year, one of the winning ideas became our new AI Content Generator that customers are loving. No spoilers on this yearâs ideas, but youâll be seeing many of them come to life in our product over the course of the next year! Check out our sizzle reel to get a taste of the fun.
CTCT Glassdoor Takeover: Chris Johnson, Marketing Coach and Black@CTCT Affinity Group Champion Last month, I had the exciting opportunity to attend the U.S. Black Chambers Inc. (USBC) National Conference through Constant Contact. It was truly an enlightening experience! It was an honor to not only attend as a fellow Black-owned business owner (like many CTCTers, Iâm a business entrepreneur), but as a representative of Constant Contact. I met so many incredible black-owned business owners and entrepreneurs, networked with amazing individuals, and got to meet Legendary Pioneers of the culture Rev Al Sharpton and Derrick Johnson President of NAACP. The energy and passion in the room were infectious! Iâm proud that Constant Contact supports the USBC, its fellow Chambers, and the many Black-owned small businesses that are Constant Contact customers, and Iâm working internally to expand that effort. Happy Black-owned business month!
At Constant Contact, our mission is to help the small stand tall, so of course we wanted to celebrate the local businesses in our communities during National Small Business Month! As part of a fun company-wide activation, Team CTCT shared photos of how they were supporting their favorite small businesses across the U.S. and around the world. We also hosted celebrations in each of our U.S. offices, catered by some of our local customers and six lucky team members won gift cards to some of our favorite customersâ businesses. Small business owners are why we do what we do, and why, as a team, we care so deeply about our work. Team CTCT loves an excuse to shop, dine, and support small â during National Small Business Month and every day of the year.
Welcoming New Employees to Team Constant Contact! Every quarter our CEO and senior leaders personally welcome new team members at a virtual meet and greet like the one we hosted yesterday. After intros from the senior leaders, where they share insights about our culture and why they love working here, they open it up for the new CTCTers to ask questions. At Constant Contact, weâre all about keeping it real and doing it right when it comes to transparency and communication, starting with onboarding.
Our second-annual Womenâs History Month employee panel, hosted by our Women@CTCT Affinity Group, featured several of our inspiring women team members. They talked career journeys, how they overcome challenges and face down imposter syndrome, and what itâs like being women in the tech industry. Weâre proud to offer a work environment where women feel empowered and supported. Weâre always looking for talented women to join our team, so if youâre looking for a new role, take a look at some of our open jobs!
