One of our Directors, Ted Serafini, recently posted to LinkedIn commenting on our paternity leave. Thank you Ted for your positive feedback. "This past weekend marked our son Max’s 1st birthday. His birth was obviously the highlight of the year (for everyone, right?), but if I’m being real — caring for a baby is hard even under the best circumstances. Having a second kid was even harder than we imagined it would be. My family and I are beyond grateful #DTCC implemented a parental leave policy that puts families first. I had 16(!) weeks of leave to bond with Max, help our two-year-old deal with his big feelings, and take on a bigger workload at the house while my wife transitioned back to her job as a tenured-track professor. I also had 16 weeks of leave when I was at #WilmerHale for the birth of our first son, Paul. I know how lucky I am, but I shouldn’t be the outlier. I hope this is a growing trend and that other firms will follow #DTCC’s and #WilmerHale’s leadership in implementing generous leave policies."
