They say walking in someone else’s shoes gives you perspective 👟 and that’s exactly what happened during Spirit Week Swap Day for our New York area teams! From concierges and service technicians stepping into leasing roles, to leasing team members trying their hand at community touch-ups, to regional leaders rolling up their sleeves alongside their onsite teams, everyone got a fresh look at what it takes to keep our communities thriving - and plenty of opportunities to learn and grow as a team! These swaps sparked plenty of laughs, aha moments, and even a few “so that's how your day goes!” reflections - a great reminder that every role matters in creating the places our residents call home, and that as a team, we rely on each other to make the resident experience exceptional. 🙌💜
💡 Sharing the Spotlight | Meet Jenn, a Community Manager in Denver! Jenn’s journey with Equity started in Seattle in 2017, and she’s built her career by embracing change, rolling with the punches, and keeping a sense of humor along the way. After 13 years in Seattle, her move to Denver came with a big surprise - sunshine almost every day! 🌞 What keeps her motivated besides the great weather? The people. From teammates who encouraged her early on to the welcoming Denver community she’s now part of, Jenn says the support and positivity around her have made every new step feel exciting (and fun!). We can’t wait to see how Jenn continues to learn and grow her career and her community at Equity.
Our Augusta office showed up in a big way last month at Golden Harvest Food Bank 🥖 With over 35 volunteers working in shifts, we packed meals with care, helped our neighbors in need, and shared smiles along the way. It’s one of the many ways we engage with the world around us and help create communities where people can thrive. 💙

We’re always learning - and leading! Over the past few weeks, leaders across Equity came together for two of our standout learning events: Lead and Elevate. At Lead, a small group of senior-level leaders explored their personal leadership styles and how to use those strengths to guide their teams. Elevate - hosted this time for our corporate managers - built on the success of our original program for property leaders, delivering great insights on employee engagement, leading through change, and more. We’re proud to invest in the growth of our leaders, and to keep creating opportunities to learn and grow together.
