European Wax Center's DEI Council continued to celebrate Black History Month and educated our team on HBCU Culture this week by focusing on The Divine Nine or Black Fraternities and Sororities. Lauren C Sykes MBA Sykes walked the team through the pillars of black Greek life inclusive of service, leadership, networking, social involvement and personhood. We also donated to Southern University in Lauren’s honor as an alum and also to Clark Atlanta in honor of Jenna Materre

To educate our team during Black History Month our DE&I Council will highlight a unique piece of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (“HBCU”) Culture each week this month. They kicked off the month by introducing HBCU history, and highlighted HBCU Marching Bands! Additionally, our DE&I Council will make a weekly donation to an HBCU in the name of an EWC HBCU alumni to give back to the community that helped produce some of our wonderful associates! This week we donated to Hampton University on behalf of alumni Ashley Morgan and Fatimah Harley!
