Ford's Thirty Under 30 was announced last year by Executive Chairman Bill Ford as part of the company’s ongoing initiatives to develop young employee leaders while also serving the communities where it operates.
“As we transition to an auto and a mobility company, we’re investing in our people and the tools they use to deliver our vision,” said Ford President and CEO Mark Fields.
“The FordPass platform is about understanding people’s needs and developing great experiences and ways to help them move better,” said Elena Ford, Ford vice president, global dealer and consumer experience.
“It’s an example of need-based growth,” said Erich Merkle, Ford U.S. sales analyst. “Millennials have begun forming families and those families are growing – in terms of the number of children as well as the size of those children."
“This honor celebrates our employees who are committed to doing the right things and making the right choices,” said Bill Ford, executive chairman, Ford Motor Company.
“Our 2016 program features some of the newest and most innovative tools available to teach new drivers to be safe and make sound decisions behind the wheel,” said Jim Graham, manager, Ford Driving Skills for Life.
“The LEGO Group is one of the world’s top toy companies, and is loved by children and adults around the globe,” said Joe Hinrichs, Ford president, The Americas. “Many of us grew up playing with LEGO, so this is a dream project for all of us."
“Our global waste strategy commits Ford to reducing waste-to-landfill, and we have made great progress at our headquarters, manufacturing plants, offices and research facilities,” said Andy Hobbs, Ford director, Environmental Quality Office.
