The GEODIS Women’s Network (GWN) is reflecting on some key events that were hosted to support the fight against breast cancer. In total, we raised just over $2k in support of the Susan G. Komen Foundation to fund research to discover more effective treatments, as well as vital patient support to help connect people with things like breast cancer screenings, diagnostics, treatment assistance, and so much more.

November 20th is Transgender Day of Remembrance, which honors the memory of transgender people who sacrificed their lives fighting for trans rights. The purpose of Transgender Awareness Week is to educate and raise awareness for trans people and the rights they’re fighting for. Trans people face discrimination in many ways, including employment, healthcare, and housing.
The GEODIS team actively participated in the AHA fundraising for the annual heart walk-in Nissan Stadium this year with many fun events leading up to the walk the week before, which included a pancake breakfast and a mega raffle! Teammates from the Brentwood location rallied together and raised over $18,000 for the event. Thank you to all who participated and gave generously.
In Oshawa, Canada, GEODIS folks gathered to help students prepare for going back to school by partnering with United Way of Durham. For United Way's back-to-school drive, our volunteers donated school supplies and packed backpacks for students! The Social Responsibility Committee is a collection of passionate GEODIS employees who volunteer to serve as liaisons between the GEODIS Foundation and the non-profit organizations the Foundation supports. SRC members help these organizations achieve funding and plan a wide variety of volunteer opportunities so GEODIS teammates can give back to the communities where they live and work.
