This summer we had nearly 250 interns across all of lines of business lines contributing in meaningful ways to the future of defense and technology. Our team in Pittsfield, Massachusetts was pleased to host the city’s Mayor, Peter Marchetti and his Director of Administrative Services, Catherine VanBramer. They had the opportunity to “drive” a Littoral Combat Ship in our simulated Lab, took a tour of the manufacturing floor, and learned about the Columbia Class submarine program that will be in service until 2080. The recipients were nominated by members of General Dynamics Mission Systems Executive Leadership Team for their outstanding performance over the past year. “Every day I'm reminded we truly have the best and brightest on our team, and the President's Award is just one of the ways we acknowledge and recognize the exceptional difference-makers who exemplify our leadership values, bring our mission to life and keep us at the forefront of innovation. Some introduced novel approaches or took calculated risks while others guided teams through incredible challenges or solved a pressing customer need," Chris said. “And across the board, these strategists, captains, innovators or out-of-the-box thinkers are vital members of their teams who maintain high standards of excellence, exceed expectations and demonstrate the commitment to the mission that defines General Dynamics Mission Systems."
