On December 1, 1955, after a long day of work, Rosa Parks boarded a bus in Montgomery, Alabama. She took her seat in the ‘colored’ section. As she rode home, it began to fill and the driver demanded she give up her seat. She refused, was arrested and what followed was Civil Rights history. #RosaParksDay honors this amazing and courageous American Civil Rights hero. May her legacy live on through all of us.
Nearly 38 million people around the world are living with HIV. Increased access to HIV treatment has averted around 12.1 million AIDS-related deaths since 2010. #WorldAIDSDay is a great chance to learn about HIV testing options, including self-testing and to talk with others about HIV. Together we can end the stigma, create awareness and educate.

In the wake of the commercialized Black Friday and Cyber Monday, the 92nd Street Y in New York City created #GivingTuesday in 2012 to bring focus to the charitable season. So rise today by lifting up others. #caredeeply
