Ghirardelli recently held a wellness week for our employees. One of the hosted events was a Kokedama Workshop. Participants were given supplies and instructions on how to create their own kokedama, or "moss ball" plant. What a great way to join co-workers in a fun event! Ghirardelli's PRIDE ERG holds annual virtual Pride Parades. At our June 30, 2022 parade we welcomed Jeopardy Champion Amy Schneider to play Ghirpardy with some of our employees! We had 115 employees join us to challenge Amy. Amy was also a very inspiring speaker!
Ghirardelli's WIN ERG held a Holiday Connect Networking event in Alameda on Friday Dec. 9th, where we donated holiday gifts for women and children served by Building Futures, a non profit based in San Leandro. We networked, enjoyed great appetizers and had fun building Ghirardelli chocolate bags to include with the gifts. Making life a bite better for our community.
In August 2022, the Marketing Team brought the traveling Summer S'Mores event to the Ghirardelli Corporate office and Manufacturing facility in San Leandro. There was so much fun stuff - We made Smores with our favorite Ghirardelli Chocolate Squares! We played cornhole, a big sequence game and won raffle prizes... Oh, it was a rough day at the office!
Santa and his Elf visited Ghirardelli's Manufacturing facility this year during the annual Holiday lunches! Food, raffle prizes and even a little hula hoop happened! Thank you Ghirardelli Employees for your contributions in 2022.
In June 2022 Ghirardelli hosted 5 college students recruited from the San Leandro Education Foundation's SLED program. Ghirardelli's annual summer work program is specifically for SL High Alumni that are Jr. or Sr.'s in a 4 year college. The students worked on meaningful projects in Operations, Finance, HR, Procurement and Marketing. It was great to have them here and we do wish them the best in their future careers. We at Ghirardelli hope that we made life a bite better for them!
