This August 26th, H2M architects + engineers is proud to celebrate Women’s Equality Day, a holiday designated by congress in 1973 to commemorate the passage of the 19th Amendment, granting women the right to vote. According to the National Women's History Alliance, "The observance of Women’s Equality Day not only commemorates the passage of the 19th Amendment, but also calls attention to women’s continuing efforts toward full equality. " Our Women’s Leadership Employee Resource Group strives to promote STEM in our local communities and serve as role models for young women. We’ve participated in mentorships, career panels, and hosted educational opportunities at local schools and with organizations such as Girls Inc., the Moxxie Network, and the Girl Scouts of the USA. Women’s Leadership serves as a safe space for employees of all genders and encourages open discussions during our brown bag lunch series.
