In 2015, we launched “Purple with Purpose” to support organizations that align with our vision to connect health and wealth in the communities we serve. We asked Charles Bowen, a Member Services Supervisor, to give us some insight into his experience as a Purple with Purpose champion. “The ability to contribute our time for the benefits of others is one of the most fulfilling exercises we undertake. It helps us to be thankful not only that we can do for others as we would like for them to do for us, if we were in their shoes, but it also makes us appreciate that we are not in their shoes. The Purple with Purpose program positions us to be good corporate citizens while teaching us that the problems we might be facing at any time could be much worse. It helps us to go through life with a grateful heart.”
We're grateful for the remarkable teammates who spent their morning working together to assist Hunger Task Force in Milwaukee. They helped prep for the upcoming season, transplanted seedlings, maintained and harvested crops, and pulled invasive plants. 🌱 "There are so many people locally in need of service," says Tom Abler, QA Support Engineer. "Seeing the number of watermelons that our group planted, all going to individuals in need, was truly a rewarding experience."
