We are excited to be ringing in the new year announcing that our subsidiary, SEFA, has joined the Heidelberg Materials brand. The company acquired SEFA, a technology leader in converting coal ash for recycled use in concrete, in May of 2023. While the SEFA name will continue to be associated with beneficiation technologies and solutions, the company now carries the Heidelberg Materials brand.

Earlier this week, we marked a historic day at our Mitchell, Indiana, cement plant with our selection for award negotiation to receive up to $500 million in funding from the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED) Industrial Demonstrations Program (IDP). The proposed project for this funding award will capture, treat, and prepare for storage or use approximately 2 million tons of CO2 each year from the plant. The Heidelberg Materials Servtex Quarry in South Texas recently coordinated a community-wide food drive to help restock the shelves for the summer months at the RACAP food pantry. Local elementary schools and municipalities participated, along with our employees to donate 3,227.80 pounds of food. Thanks to our team for helping build community and supporting a great cause!
