We're proud to share that Humana has achieved a score of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation's Corporate Equality Index (CEI) for the eleventh consecutive year! The CEI is the nation’s foremost benchmarking survey and report measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ workplace equality. This recognition highlights our commitment to fostering a culture of belonging and inclusion. As Carolyn Tandy, our SVP and Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer, aptly said, “We are honored to receive the Equality 100 Award from the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. This helps us create an inclusive environment for our members, patients, and employees.” The 2025 CEI results show significant progress in LGBTQ+ workplace policies, with 98% of businesses having gender identity nondiscrimination protections. The CEI evaluates companies on: - Non-discrimination policies - Equitable benefits - Inclusive culture - Corporate social responsibility
Service members and military veterans are an important part of Humana. Not only do we have nearly 6 million active-duty military and retirees among our members, we make a special effort to hire from within military communities. In 2011, we launched the Veterans Hiring Initiative with the objective to provide opportunities to veterans and their spouses. Since then, we've hired more than 6,000 people and counting.
