Today we observe Veterans Day, an opportunity to remember those who have served and offer gratitude for their efforts. At Intact Insurance Specialty Solutions, we’re also taking this occasion to uplift this community throughout the year by introducing our newest ERG – Service Forward. Several Intact veterans and allies have come together to build community for veterans, reservists, their family members, and supporters. This new group plans to host its launch event early next year and in the meantime, is honored to share these employees’ stories.
At Intact Insurance Specialty Solutions, we’re proud of our eleven Community Engagement programs throughout the U.S. Our local teams connect with designated nonprofits for “expertise-sharing” sessions, volunteering based on organizational needs and help sponsor events. Our Power of Women employee network has been working hard this year to support women and allies across the company through monthly events and discussions on relevant topics. The network’s steering committee recently held a planning workshop in Plymouth, MN to discuss upcoming events and opportunities to deliver on their mission. Since their inception in early-2022, the committee members meet in person annually to take a closer look at the progress they have made and set goals for the future. Through our employee-led networks, Intact is proud to encourage efforts that cultivate a culture of #inclusion and #belonging.
Intact was pleased to sponsor and attend United South End Settlements’ Neighborhood Gala last week! The event commemorated the 130th anniversary of the Boston-based nonprofit, and raised a record $1.2M for programs promoting economic stability in disadvantaged families. Through our Community Engagement Program, we are proud to support their mission and work!
We are pleased to share our 2022 Intact Charitable Trust Annual Report! It features the nonprofit organizations and educational institutions the Trust supported in 2022, affirming both employee and producers’ volunteer, leadership, and philanthropic efforts. As well, it supported our recently launched Community Engagement Program for our teams to pursue hyperlocal partnerships with nonprofits advancing economic resiliency.
