When a life-changing accident prevented construction contractor Kendale Dosselman from operating his new 60G compact excavator, the custom engineering team at John Deere Dubuque Works went to work on a modified control system. “We were honored to help a customer who was trying to help himself,” said Ryan Camps, engineer, Dubuque Works. Today, Dosselman is back in the cab, doing what he loves. "I have more ways to work a little longer, and the modifications made it simple to use because I’ve got movement now on both the joystick and the thumb. It’s astonishing to do things by myself.
