OUR FOUNDERS’ STORY Our mission is simple: to improve the lives of the world’s one billion adult smokers by providing the first true alternative to combustible cigarettes. The founders of JUUL Labs, Adam Bowen and James Monsees, first began exploring the idea of alternative technology to combustible cigarettes during their time together as graduate students in the product design program at Stanford University more than 15 years ago.
