Thank you to our Black Professionals@Langan hashtag#ERG for organizing a powerful, inspiring, and informative tour of the African Burial Ground National Monument in hashtag#NYC last week. Established in 2006, the monument marks the final resting place for approximately 15,000 free and enslaved Africans from the 1600s-1700s. Attendees were treated to a tour of the historic hashtag#landmark, led by Nicole Hollant-Denis, the project architect and President of AARIS Design Architects, and Tasos Papathanasiou, Langan’s geotechnical lead for the project. We’re excited to share an update on our transition to a #sustainable fleet: our first fully #electricvehicle—a 2023 #Ford Lightning—recently arrived at our headquarters! We are now the proud owners of 16 #hybrid/electric vehicles, with 10 additional trucks expected to arrive in 2024. Shout-out to our #Doylestown office for working with GotSneakers (a zero-waste sneaker recycling company) to donate shoes to those in need—and make a positive environmental impact! The team also combined the funds from #GotSneakers with employee contributions to donate 214 pounds of food to Bucks County Housing Group in time for #Thanksgiving. Our #Arlington office got in the game with their SOUPer Mario #CANstruction sculpture, inspired by Nintendo 64’s Super Smash Bros. The group teamed up with Thornton Tomasetti, Gilbane Building Company, and CMTA, Inc. to bring the vision to life—raising nearly $10,000 and donating over 4,150 food items to Capital Area Food Bank in the process! #lifeatLangan #CANstructionDC Canstruction Global HQ
