ManTech today announced new contracts totaling nearly $1 billion in work supporting the United States Marine Corps. The first was a 5-year $715 million award to support mission-enabling research, development, testing and evaluation of technology solutions central to Force Design – the U.S. Marine Corps’ broad initiative to transform the service’s force structure, weapons systems, equipment and training. The second was a $269 million award to help advance the Marine Corps’ Information Warfare programs through the application of Intelligent Systems Engineering and applying Model-Based Systems Engineering (hashtag#MBSE) to help improve information Capabilities. “Information superiority is paramount in the current information environment (IE) to gain decision advantages that improve precision in combat,” said David Hathaway, President and General Manager of ManTech’s Defense Sector.
