MLM was proud to be a sponsor at the 3rd Annual Gala for Phoenix Recovery Academy. It was a beautiful night for an amazing organization! The mission of the Phoenix Foundation of Maryland is to provide a state-recognized recovery high school that meets the individual educational needs of adolescents recovering from substance use disorder, Phoenix Recovery Academy, in Frederick, MD. MLM is excited to report that we contributed toward 13 teachers' Amazon wish lists for the upcoming school year! We initiated this program to give back to the communities we serve and show our appreciation for teachers, and that is what was accomplished.
We are celebrating and honoring Black History Month and we want everyone involved! Below are a few things we are doing at MLM this month. There will be an office luncheon catered by a local black-owned business in each office. Posts on our socials will highlight historical figures, activists and artists of black culture. We will also be posting employee spotlights! Each Friday in February we will be running raffles on our Instagram account @mlmhome - Simply follow the account, re-post our photo and tag us to be entered to win an awesome prize. A cornerstone of MLM's vision and culture is giving back to our community. To serve our local communities this month, we are hosting a community collection drive. We ask and encourage whoever is able to bring in any of the items below into your local office. They will be bagged and distributed back to our community for those who are in need of assistance. This is a small thing you can do to help enrich your community as an employee of MLM! Thank you!
MLM's Annual Toy Drive was a huge success this year! Due to our generous employees and customers we were able to raise over $1,500 & donate 200 toys for children in need. With our partner DonateAtoy, and their program to match what was raised, a grand total of over $3,000 in toys were donated. We look forward to doubling those totals and spreading even more joy next holiday season!
