They served America. And this month, they were celebrated while enjoying one of America’s favorite pastimes. Medline’s military employee resource group (ERG), called M-VET, coordinated a group of more than 250 Medline employees family and friends at the Aug. 5 game at Wrigley Field in Chicago. They joined the Chicago Cubs to recognize those who serve and have served our country during the game against the Cincinnati Reds. This is the second year that M-VET participated. This is just one of many events M-VET organizes or participates in each year. The ERG started small in 2021 and has since grown in both membership and programming, which is open to anyone within Medline regardless of military service. More than half of Medline’s self-identified veterans are members of the group. “The Salute to Service Cubs game is more than just baseball – it’s a powerful reminder of our shared commitment to honoring those who’ve served. Medline encouraging and enabling attendance at the event amplifies that mission, bringing together community and corporate support to truly make a difference in veterans’ lives,” said M-VET employee relations co-chair Chad Harris, Medline’s director of business operations and analytics.
Knowing how to listen to, respond to and resolve a customer’s challenges is essential when joining Medline’s dynamic salesforce. Now there’s a new “home base” for learning all of it. More than 40 people, including several area customers, gathered with Medline leaders Tuesday for the official unveiling of the company’s new sales training center – a reimagined suite of collaborative learning spaces at Medline’s main offices in Northfield, Ill. Covering roughly 14,000 square feet, the center is about 50% larger than the previous training area for sales representatives, providing more space for bigger groups from around the country to converge in person for hands-on activities, breakout demonstrations and specialized instruction in one modern hub that addresses the needs of a specialized salesforce and Medline’s growing footprint across all points of care. With the expansion of the space, Medline’s sales training curriculum has been enhanced, too – incorporating hands-on product training, customer and industry insight and richer training on the soft skills that are critical to building effective customer relationships.
Medline is excited to kick off Disability Pride Month, celebrating all the accomplishments of those with disabilities and the greater community they represent. Medline continues to create an inclusive culture where everyone, with every ability, belongs.
