Methodist Charlton had a great time at the annual Crawfish Festival in DeSoto! Staff from the stroke, physical medicine, and trauma programs handed out educational brochures and giveaways that included sunglasses, hand sanitizers, and pens. There were 5,000 people who attended. That's a whale of a crawfish party!
This Cedar Hill woman believes that catching COVID-19 saved her life! When her doctors at Methodist Mansfield ordered tests, they uncovered a frightening cancer diagnosis. NBC 5 (KXAS-TV) ran the amazing story.
Congratulations, Shelbi Jopson, for winning the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses! A labor and delivery nurse at Methodist Midlothian, Shelbi has been with the hospital since 2021. DAISY Award winners are nominated by patients, families, and colleagues, and winners are chosen by a hospital committee. Each winner is honored at an award celebration and receives a pin, a sculpture, and a certificate that says, "In deep appreciation of all you do, who you are, and the incredibly meaningful difference you make in the lives of so many people." "Focus Daily News" picked up the story.
Just before the school year ended, the officers of the Midlothian High School Pantherettes gave a parting gift to women's imaging services at Methodist Midlothian — a check for $12,000! Every year they raise funds at the Pink Out football game and other club activities. What a privilege to be the recipient of their generosity! Thank you, ladies. Have a great summer!
