The city of Mansfield paid tribute to Tai Tran, RN, on May 28 for performing CPR on a man who collapsed at the gym. The cardiac nurse at Methodist Mansfield had just finished working out when Don Wharry had a heart attack. Tai performed CPR, and with the help of gym employees, he used the facility’s defibrillator to save Don’s life. Don was at the city council meeting to thank Tai in person.
Congratulations to the Methodist Mansfield emergency department! The team was honored with the Top Emergency Department for Patient Experience Award for the health system.
They improve and save lives outside the hospital too. Nurses and doctors from Methodist Dallas packed up 871 boxes of food for the hungry — 871! They volunteered for the Children's Hunger Fund. Way to go, y'all!
Helping our patients have a great experience at Methodist is hard work — and it’s work that is worth of recognition. During the week of April 22, Patient Experience Week, Methodist’s patient experience team showed its appreciation for employees’ efforts by delivering treats to employees across five hospital campuses. Methodist Medical Group celebrated in its own way with a poster contest and chili cook-off.
