It was great to be back in-person for the annual Grantsville Health Fair! During this three-day, family friendly event we cover topics from first aid to basic biometrics, fire extinguisher practice and treating soft tissue injuries. The fair also included athletic activities, a trunk-or-treat for the kids, and a visit with a local fire truck and LIFE flight helicopter. Thank you to the Grantsville EMT Group and Umbrella Club for an amazing event and keeping health and safety number one!

The COVID-19 pandemic has shown us not only what is essential in life, but what it takes to get the essentials in everyone’s hands. As we navigate the changing landscape of our supply chain in these challenging times, we remain committed to going the extra mile. As part of our ongoing partnership with Feeding America, Morton Salt proudly partnered with Uber Freight to donate close to $150,000 in essential salt products to people in need through its Move What Matters campaign. Our donations were distributed free of cost by Uber Freight to food pantries across the U.S. including the Greater Chicago Food Depository, the Children’s Hunger Fund and more. With Feeding America projecting that more than 54 million people in the U.S. could face hunger this year, the support that food banks can offer is nothing short of life-changing — and we’re dedicated to helping them make an impact.
During this time, Morton Salt continues to operate as an essential business while following the best practice recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization. However, we couldn't do this without the dedication and support of our employees who continue to work during this unprecedented time. We want to thank them for answering the call to keep producing salt needed by our communities.
