JPL historian Erik Conway has been named a Guggenheim Fellow by the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation! This year, 173 fellows were chosen out of 3,000 applicants. Conway has been the historian for JPL for 14 years. His work focuses on the intersection between science and technology, with an emphasis on aerospace. JPL's Shouleh Nikzad has been named a Fellow in the National Academy of Inventors for her technological innovations, contributions to nanoscale engineering, and leadership in developing ultraviolet instrument technologies and detectors for space exploration. “I hope to see more female interns and scientists at JPL.
