At NFP we’re celebrating Women’s History Month by highlighting just a few of our stellar women leaders. Meet Robin Johnston, SVP of Business Development. Prior to joining NFP, Robin was an advisor with one of the very first firms to join PartnersFinancial, NFP’s life insurance membership organization. Founder Bruce Callahan then asked her to join NFP to help recruit other firms, and she decided she’d stay with the company as long as it was fun — 15 years later she says she’s having more fun than ever. Nicknamed the “Queen of NFP Culture” by her boss for her personal touch and attention to teammates and clients alike, Robin is responsible for recruiting in our membership organizations, PartnersFinancial and BenefitsPartners, as well as finding good fits among member firms to join the NFP brand. She loves hiking, biking, and Pilates, and in keeping with Robin’s Longhorn spirit, she lives in the heart of downtown Austin. And because she puts her money where her mouth is – literally – she’s also an investor in a local tequila company. #WomensHistoryMonth #WomenMakeHistory
At NFP we’re celebrating Women’s History Month by highlighting just a few of our stellar women leaders. Our Director of PR and Communications is an avid music lover and world traveler. Meet Carolina Castaño. Recently named Diversity Chair to the board of the Austin chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, she also has a strong background in sales and sales enablement across a range of industries. The daughter of Colombian immigrants, this multi-lingual maven is fluent in English and Spanish and studied Italian and French in college, having double-majored in foreign languages and public relations at Southern Methodist University, where she also later earned an MBA in marketing. A budding patron of the arts with an eclectic palate, she often travels with friends to attend concerts or to visit distant museums and galleries. She has two rescue terriers at home. #WomensHistoryMonth #WomenMakeHistory #NFPBenefitsWomen

Throughout the month of March, we’re highlighting some of our stellar NFP women leaders. Today’s feature focuses on another of our proud military brats, also from an Air Force family. Meet Kathleen Ayers, one of our top practice leaders for financial institutions programs. She began her career in employee benefits as an actuarial consultant after studying mathematics and actuarial science – let’s hear it for #STEM! Before that Kathleen spent years as an educator, earning an MA in education and teaching at the high school level, creating courses and curriculum material in probability, statistics, problem solving and critical thinking, computer science, and calculus. Happily married with two grown sons and two “grand-dogs,” Kathleen loves travel, believes in lifelong learning and holds deep respect for other cultures. She and her husband have also done volunteer work and fundraising for JDRF International and the Boys and Girls Club in New Jersey. #WomensHistoryMonth #WomenMakeHistory #NFPBenefitsWomen
