As Noom continues on its mission of helping people everywhere, we mean just that: Everyone. Everywhere. On this day in 1970, the first Pride march took place on the one year anniversary of the Stonewall uprising in our hometown of New York City. Today, we honor all those who fought for the great progress that’s been made, and reflect on how much work is still left to do for members of the LGBTQIA+ community around the world. Mental health and physical health are inextricably tied, and so as we work toward our mission, we must acknowledge both the challenges these communities face and our role in removing those barriers. In that spirit, we’ve made a donation to the National Queer & Trans Therapists of Color Network which is dedicated to advancing healing justice by transforming mental health for queer and trans people of color. For more information on this organization and the important work they’re doing, please visit nqttcn.com
On Juneteenth—also known as Freedom Day, Liberation Day, or Emancipation Day—we celebrate alongside our friends, family, Noomers, and communities across the country. It’s also a day of reflection and action as we know there is still so much work to do today, tomorrow, and every day to uplift Black communities. In the words of the NAACP: “The U.S. is overdue for a health care system that truly bolsters health for all its people rather than fragments them further.” That’s why we’ve donated $100,000 to the NAACP's Empowerment Programs, which are committed to dismantling racism and disrupting inequality by addressing issues most important to the Black community, such as health, economics, education, and climate. A healthy world is an inclusive world, and we’re proud to stand in support of this vision.
Change comes through doing the work and staying accountable. We're thrilled to collaborate with GLAAD to make the Noom experience more personalized and inclusive of our LGBTQ+ users. In the coming months, Noomers will notice changes to the platform and in the app experience as our product becomes more inviting for everyone. Together, we can continue to create a more accepting world. #Pride #Noom

Sending love and strength to our Asian and Pacific Islander friends, family, and colleagues. You are loved. You are seen. As one small step today, we’re donating $100,000 to Asian Americans Advancing Justice | AAJC, an organization advocating for the civil and human rights of Asian Americans to build an equitable society for all. They have been educating the public around the discrimination the community has been facing. #StopAsianHate
