The Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation made a donation of 14 electric bicycles to the New Shoreham, RI Police Department on Block Island. Summer is in full swing, and Block Island is a popular destination. New Shoreham officers will be out around the island keeping their community safe, and we hope these e-bikes will help them have a great season.

It's a big week at Ocean State Job Lot! Yesterday we opened in Danbury, CT, and today we welcomed another new store team in Johnson City, NY! The village of Johnson City is known as the "Home of the Square Deal," which dates back to the early 1900s when George F. Johnson was the owner of Endicott Johnson Corporation and practiced progressive labor policies, giving workers "a square deal" of good wages in fair working conditions. While a lot has changed since those days, we all still love a great deal!

In North Adams, MA, Alan Horbal buys hundreds of American flags every year to decorate the town’s telephone poles in recognition of Memorial Day. Flags are not yet fully stocked for the season, so David Sarlitto, Executive Director of the Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation, took a road trip to multiple Ocean State Job Lot locations to collect the flags Alan needs. After many stops and more than six hours of driving round trip, David had delivered 200 flags to Alan.
