We are thrilled to celebrate several well-deserved promotions across the Omni Hotels & Resorts portfolio! Laura McKoy has been promoted to Chief Creative Officer. In this role, she will continue to lead the interior design efforts for both renovations and new developments while overseeing the brand's overall creative vision. She will also collaborate closely with Marketing and Operations to ensure every visual, experiential, and storytelling element strengthens Omni's position as a leading hospitality brand, and every guest experience reflects the innovation and thoughtful design for which Omni is known. Since joining Omni in 2007, Laura has shaped the design identity of our brand, founding the Omni Design Studio and leading countless new builds, capital projects, and renovations. Frederic Najem has been promoted to General Manager of the Omni William Penn Hotel. With more than 15 years of hospitality leadership, Frederic has held key roles across food & beverage, rooms, and operations with Omni and other top hospitality brands. Wayne McLellan has been promoted to General Manager of the Omni New Haven Hotel at Yale. Bringing over 25 years of hospitality leadership experience, Wayne has excelled in finance, operations, and talent development.
Our Directors of Human Resources and Finance came together for an enriching conference complete with educational seminars, lively speakers, and enriching networking opportunities. Leaders left with advanced knowledge of Labor Relations, a deep understanding of the Shared Services Department, and how to better partner with one another on property. There was a celebration of leaders from years past and awards were given to the HR and Finance leaders of 2023. The All In spirit resonated throughout the conference and with all who attended!
Earlier this year, Omni launched a new mentoring program, ASCEND, which stands for Advocacy thru Strategy, Coaching, Executive-exposure, Networking, and Discussion. The purpose of the nine-month mentorship program is to shine a light on those associates who may be in the corner, nurture talent from within, and foster growth for all.
