Volunteers from our Oakdale office (safely!) celebrated Earth Day by utilizing their Volunteer Time Off Benefit to clean up their 3-mile stretch of highway just north of the Oakdale office. This community service event, done through the Oakdale chapter of Adopt-a-Highway, marks the beginning of the return of employee events and gatherings post-pandemic. At at time of record unemployment in many states, our employees were eager to give back to their local communities, and raised over nearly $33,000 for the hungry through Feeding America. The money collected during the 10-day donation drive will provide over 320,000 meals for those in need. A few of Advisor Group's women leaders met virtually last week with students from Clayton State University for a Women’s Career Development Panel. Haley Hamilton, Tomika King, Leigh McCluskey, and Paula Woodson shared career and leadership advice with nearly 70 female students from the Georgia university. These career development panels are a branch of our community service program at Advisor Group, and we are looking forward to extending these kinds of events to local colleges and universities in all of our home office cities.
