Last week our St. Petersburg employees had the opportunity to network with and ask career advice of our Executive Leadership Team. During the day, 13 employees and 13 executives participated in "speed mentoring", giving employees the chance to ask career and leadership advice. Last week our Phoenix and Atlanta employees joined their local firm's President & CEO for the first Town Hall meeting of 2020! Over 150 employees joined Derek Burke for his in-person sessions, while 230+ employees tuned in to Jeff Auld for the first-ever live-broadcast Town Hall. Both meetings included an Employee Recognition segment, a Corporate Update, and Q&A time. Phoenix employees enjoyed a "meet your new neighbor" potluck this week after the successful completion of two office floor moves. Employees were invited to visit all four floors of the Phoenix office for appetizers, main dishes and desserts, as well as to meet their new floor neighbors. Four of our Executive Leadership Team members spoke to 30 female college students last week at Arizona State University. The four leaders spoke in an hour-long open Q&A panel session, followed by 30 minutes of networking. A number of Advisor Group employees also attended the event as "networking partners", and were available to speak with students one-on-one after the panel. This Women's Career Development Panel is the second of its kind that Advisor Group has partnered with the university for, and feedback from the students has been outstanding: "...I loved the consistent advice of embracing your fear and chasing change," said one student. "I learned something new about careers in the financial services industry and about becoming a woman in leadership today," said another. We thank our leaders for making the event a success, and look forward to hosting similar events at our other sites!
