PPG recognized as ‘Exceptional Workplace’ by Gallup for third consecutive year March 13, 2025 PPG today announced that it has received a third consecutive Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award (GEWA). This annual award recognizes high-performing companies that align their business strategies around employees. Gallup found that PPG continued to engage and develop its people in innovative ways, setting new benchmarks for workplace excellence. "At PPG, our employees are key to delivering on our purpose to protect and beautify the world,” said Brenda Broad, PPG global head of talent. “This award reflects our unwavering commitment to fostering a culture of engagement that enables innovation, growth and operational excellence, as well as the hard work and dedication of our entire team.” In 2024, PPG maintained 2023’s record-setting Gallup engagement score of 4.22. Its frontline employees also achieved record engagement, reaching the 50th percentile in the Gallup Manufacturing Workgroup Database. PPG continued its focus on recognition, with more than 303,000 unique awards to employees through the One PPG Recognition & Rewards Program. In addition, its employees contributed more than 31,000 volunteer hours to COLORFUL COMMUNITIES® projects in more than 30 countries. Gallup’s meta-analysis on team engagement and performance is the most comprehensive workplace study ever conducted, with data on more than 3.3 million employees in 347 organizations across 53 industries and 90 countries.
PPG recognized as only paints and coatings manufacturer on Barron’s 100 Most Sustainable U.S. Companies list for second year PPG announced that it has been recognized on Barron’s 100 Most Sustainable U.S. Companies 2025 list, ranking No. 62 out of the 1,000 largest publicly traded companies. It is the second consecutive year that PPG has appeared on the list as the only paints and coatings company. Starting with the 1,000 largest publicly traded companies by market value – excluding real estate investment trusts – financial research firm Calvert ranked each one by how it performed in five key constituency categories: shareholders, employees, customers, community and the planet. It looked at more than 230 performance indicators from seven rating companies, including ISS, MSCI, and Sustainalytics, along with other data and Calvert’s internal research. “For more than 140 years, innovating solutions with our customers has been critical to PPG’s success,” said Peter Votruba-Drzal, PPG vice president, global sustainability. “By ensuring that sustainability is embedded into our decision-making and innovation processes, we’re able to deliver sustainably advantaged solutions that enable us to grow with our customers by delivering on their needs in enhanced product performance, improved operational productivity and reduced overall value chain impacts.”
PPG will extend COLORFUL COMMUNITIES program through 2035 Global program to protect and beautify local communities celebrates 10 years of impact PPG today announced that it will extend its global COLORFUL COMMUNITIES® program for an additional 10 years to celebrate a decade of beautifying and revitalizing communities. As part of this commitment, PPG will commit $15 million to celebrate the next decade of beautifying and revitalizing communities. The 10-year milestone will be marked by a year of celebrations that will feature 10 flagship Colorful Communities projects around the world throughout 2025. To build on the positive impacts of the program, PPG and the PPG Foundation will also distribute $1 million in celebration grants to 100 previous and current Colorful Communities partners. PPG’s global community engagement efforts and the PPG Foundation aim to bring color and brightness to PPG communities around the world. We invested more than $17.5 million in 2023, supporting hundreds of organizations across nearly 40 countries. By investing in educational opportunities, we help grow tomorrow’s STEM innovators and skilled workforce in fields related to coatings and manufacturing. Plus, we empower PPG employees to multiply their impact for causes that are important to them by supporting their volunteer efforts and charitable giving.

PPG Hoba Pro 2848 coating received a certificate of recognition in the 2025 ADF innovation awards.
