In September of 1952, D.H. Haymon founded PSC as the nation’s first shoreside tankerman company along the banks of the Mississippi River in Baton Rouge, LA. What began with one man’s vision and a tankerman’s license has now grown to more than 4,000 employees working today at 125+ sites across the country. Throughout this month, we’re PSC Proud to celebrate this milestone anniversary by looking back on 70 years of outstanding people, service, and commitment. As part of our new “Zeroed-In” safety program, we presented the first “Sharpshooter” Awards in 2020 to these PSC tankermen who utilized Stop Work Authority to intervene on the job and prevent a serious accident from occurring: Danny Edwards, Mike Riley, Akari Johnson, and Joel Gandy.
