Coastline Elderly Services and Tufts Health Plan recently provided Wellness Education for residents of Bedford Towers in New Bedford, MA. Stephanie Boulay, RD, LDN, Dietician and Wellness Coordinator at Coastline Elderly Services, educated residents about the different types of diabetes, prevention, and how to manage a healthy diet. She demonstrated a simple recipe of "Southwestern Black-Eyed Pea and Corn Salad", and the residents were allowed to sample it. Residents also went home with a gift bag of bacterial wet wipes and some healthy snacks from Tufts Health Insurance. Xfinity also educated residents about low-cost internet packages for those that qualify, and provided healthy snacks, water and small gifts. #wearepeabody #residentservices #bedfordtowers #newbedford #affordablehousing
