Residents at Peter Sanborn Reading in Reading, MA were lucky to celebrate a very special and momentous event recently: a 100th Birthday Celebration honoring resident, Mary Leonard. Peabody Resident Services coordinated with Massachusetts Governor, Charlie Baker & State Representative Brad Jones’ offices to have commemorative citations drafted and delivered to Peter Sanborn honoring this very special milestone! They celebrated Mary with a special 'Coffee Hour' complete with lots of balloons, flowers, family & friends. Mary arrived to the Community Room at Peter Sanborn filled with friends and neighbors singing Happy Birthday. She stated, “I can’t believe I have this many friends at 100 years old!" When asked how it felt to turn 100 years old, especially during a pandemic, Mary stated “I still can’t believe I am 100, even doing the math it seems unbelievable. My advice to those younger than me would be to remember that life will always be full of ups and downs, but if you find something to be grateful for every day you will live a happy life!” Happy Birthday, Mary!! 🎂🎉#wearepeabody
